Religious events

On the 2nd day of the month falls Hindus’ Masik Vinayaka Chaturthi (मासिक विनायक चतुर्थी) followed by Ratha Saptami (रथ सप्तमी) on 6th and Bhisma Ekadashi (भीष्म एकादशी) on 9th. Most importantly, a crucial day in Hinduism, Maha Shivaratri (महा शिवरात्रि) will also fall on the last day of the month, i.e. 28th Feb.

National events

We have the National Science day on the 28th, celebrated to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman.

International events

We have already talked about Valentine’s day, which is celebrated worldwide as the feast of St. Valentine on the 14th February.
